The Places Between Us is a fictional book cover and jacket design developed as a portfolio project for the contemporary romance market.
The concept explores themes of self-discovery, connection, and finding home through the people we meet along the way. Inspired by road trips, hidden landscapes, and slow-burn romance, the illustration combines environmental storytelling with a character-driven composition to evoke a sense of freedom, intimacy, and adventure.
The project includes cover illustration, typography, front and back cover design, and supporting graphic elements, developed as a cohesive publishing package for the contemporary fiction audience.
