This personal project is an illustrated tribute to the traditional foods of Curitiba, the capital of the state of Paraná in Brazil, and also the city where I live. Its culture is deeply shaped by immigration, everyday rituals, and comfort food. The concept was developed with a tourism-oriented approach, celebrating local cuisine as part of the city’s visual identity and cultural memory.
The illustrations were designed in a stamp-inspired format, referencing travel, postcards, and collectible souvenirs. Each dish becomes a graphic “seal,” allowing the set to work both as a cohesive collection and as individual visual elements across different applications.
The project combines bold shapes, simplified forms, and expressive details. Color plays a central role in evoking flavor and warmth while keeping the aesthetic contemporary and approachable, avoiding nostalgic or overly literal representations.
The result is a playful and modern visual system that turns Curitiba’s traditional foods into graphic symbols for tourism, connecting local culture, design, and storytelling in a way that feels fresh and memorable.
